Eyelid Rejuvination
This operation is ideal for patients who:
- Want to re-establish a more youthful appearance to the upper eyelids, lower eyelids or both
- Want to address drooping eyelid skin, sunken or puffy appearance of eyes
Blepharoplasty is an operation used to re-establish a youthful appearance to the upper eyelid, lower eyelid or both. For every patient, decisions are made on a patient-by-patient basis depending on patient desires and clinical findings. Typically for upper eyelid surgery, excess drooping eyelid skin and bulging fat pads are surgically removed. Surgical scars are hidden within eyelid creases. For lower eyelid surgery, excess skin may or may not need to be removed. Bulging fat pads can be excised or repositioned. Most patients will have same-day surgery, meaning they will be discharged home the same day as the operation. Dr. Platt will discuss the recovery process and establish a follow-up schedule with you.
