By Fida-E Zaheer, Read 4 mins

It’s always been a struggle to successfully convert web traffic to paying customers, at least at first it is!  You aren’t alone either. Did you know that across industries, the average landing page conversion rate was 2.35%, yet the top 25% are converting at 5.31% or higher. Ideally, you want to break into the top 10% — these are the landing pages with conversion rates of 11.45% or higher. When you think about how much traffic these websites are doing, those are still tons of customers! So don’t get discouraged to yet. I’m here to teach you some of the best ways to get that conversion rate up!

CTA (Call to Action)

Having a strong call to action is the most important thing you should focus on when doing marketing. Whether it’s your website, a poster, or even a radio advertisement. You might be thinking, what is a “Call-to-Action”? Call to action tool banner A call to action is a piece of content intended to induce a viewer, reader, or listener to perform a specific act, typically taking the form of an instruction or directive (e.g. buy now or click here ). It is the one “sweet spot” that makes a person follow through with the sale or potential business. There are a lot of good reasons to have a CTA on your website. The main reasons are to improve customer experience by giving them the option to log in, sign up, join a mailing list etc. Also it will help you drive sales. The CTA will maximize conversion rate while collecting useful information about your customers!

Newsletter

Newsletters are essential if you’re putting out multiple pieces of content per day. newsletter popup bannerIt’s always good to have one place to house all of your newest content. This is also a great way to showcase other specials, deals, or promotions but it’s a weekly or monthly reminder with your business in front of their face! After all, in marketing there’s an old rule that states someone must be exposed to your ad, or in this case website 7 times before they make a purchase. Using Odoo, you can add captivating CTA’s like subscribe buttons, and add them as a contact in Odoo mass mailing. At the end of the day, the whole point is for you to develop a strong mailing list to keep in contact with your customers. Adding a newsletter pop-up is also something you should think about. Nowadays people are used to the fact of being asked to join a sign in list or newsletter. Most will close the popup and some will join, either out of interest or they just wanted to get it over with. This practice does not seem to affect the final outcome of the purchase.

Submission Form

Having a submission form is a great tool to generate leads for your sales reps. Try to include some sort of incentive for your customer giving up their information.

Social Sharing

This is probably the fastest growing Call to Action method being used right now. You probably do it every single day and you don’t even notice. How often do you see a funny article on Facebook or Twitter asks if you want to “Share” it? That is a CTA. Just like how we share out blogs on social media, giving people the option to read more then just the headline! It’s the easiest, smartest, and fastest growing way to direct people to your website.
